All I meant was the fact that a car battery supplies 12 volts DC. The Power Supply also supplies 12 volts DC. The charger will take the 12 volts DC and use it to charge your batteries. You can...

If your charger can operate from a car battery the Power Supply you've shown is ideal. That supply is regulated so you do not need a separate regulator.

You'll usually have to supply your own...
