RE: Best all around 40 size engine

Cox all the way. I've had one for over 29 years. I expect it will be around for another 29 years. I put fuel injection on mine first, followed by a supercharger I made out of a roll of old nickels.

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD

Hello, That sounds correct. On the left stick, there are two functions essentially. 1.) Up or down 2.) Yaw Left or Right. On the right stick there are essentially two funtions as well. 1.) Roll...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello G-Funk, You can go further with a soda bottle. You can use a two or three liter bottle to form almost any shape. You can even find some brands of beverage that come in a blue tint, that can be...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Alright senan, here is what should happen. First, unplug your 22E's Main and Tail motors. Make sure your throttle stick is all the way down and turn on the transmitter(Always do this first and turn...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello Peter, If your experience with the 50 class is anything like my own, you'll have no trouble. My 50 was much easier to fly than any of my minis/micros. Totally stable, like it was waiting for...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

To senan, I basically agree with RobBeach. In order to learn any subject, you cannot start at the top. If you have no idea why a helicopter flies (or for that matter a wing), or how it carries off...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

IMO the easiest to fly helis are the coaxial types. And by easy, I mean somewhat more stable and forgiving, very durable and inexpensive to repair most crash victims. Let me qualify that by stressing...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello EW, Keep in mind that most coaxial helis are at the complete mercy of the wind. They simply do not have the control authority to overcome the wind. I've had a 5-7mph breeze just take it away....

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

To reverse a servo in most cases, swap the outside leads on the servo's pot and switch the wires on the servo's motor. I sent you a PM with an illustration and explanation.

Hello Tommyjoking, Sorry to hear about your crash,...er..a...lesson. The fin is balsa, however, a piece of carbon fiber would be sweeter. I purchased mine from helihobby.com, they also have some fin...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello Tommyjoking, Though many here have seen the ducted fan tail on my HoneyBee II, the same setup would probably serve the 22E well. It has lasted a long time, it has virtually no chance of the...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello WearTheFoxHat, Unfortunately, you cannot "trim" out a bad CG. You can use the trim levers on the TX, but this is not really a solution. I will agree that it is always better to move weight...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Idealy, the paddles should be at zero degrees pitch with the swashplate and flybar level. Some folks do run a small amount of pitch in their paddles, though this consumes more energy and is counter...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Airfoils are typically very unstable flying trailing edge first. In a heli, this will put a huge, if not damaging load on all of the parts between the servo and blade. Flutter would almost certainly...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

jtspin, They are showing a 4x2.5 direct drive prop for 90+ gms of thrust on their site. Someone would have to do some figuring to know if that is adequate. The 22E has about a 6" diameter tail rotor,...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Hello edy80y, Welcome aloft. As far as the servo "sagging", unfortunately the Walkera's Servo's spline count/configuration will not allow the servos to "mirror" each other. You should probably leave...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

Is THIS the replacement for the 22E? Or something different? Head looks like the floating flybar variety, which would seem a real asset when compared to the 22E's awful 2-pin design. Walkera claims...

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk

You will probably need connectors for any ESC you get, unless Walkera offers a brushless one for the 22E. You can just solder and heatshrink the ESC to the BLDC. The connectors will have to be able...
