I made a few changes on thus one.
1) removed the balance shot from the nose. I'll use batteries, engine weight to help...

I mounted my switches and air jacks on the bottom of the fuse behind the wing trailing edge. Good luck.

Marktur, Yes, the .70 engines are enough power for large loops and cruises easily at half power. I use 13x7 apc props and get about 10K rpm.

You can use the supplied motor mounts.

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Not sure if this is well known, but if anyone is looking for wheels and brakes for the C310, try the BVM T33 (Main only) wheels. They are 3.5" and are rather thin. Plus they are for 3/16" axles so...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Uri, I can't speak for how the .46's would do on engine out, however, maintaining strait and level flight was possible even while going to full throttle on one engine. I was carefull to use more...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Kochj, I debated whether to use board glow, but with the engine's fuel pumps, I figured they would be rather dependable. I did have one engine quit on the third flight, but I am attributing this to...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Sorry, can't give a report on using 4C .91's however, mine is powered by OS .70 Ultimates and turning 10K with an APC 13x7 and it is very fast. I estimate 80-90 mph. .91's would be extremely...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Remember , this is for the "ultimate" engine, and not the standard 70.
I had to trim the engine mount just a bit. I also had to trim the overhang of the firewall, but is totally non structural. ...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Thanks Bob. I was considering OS 70 Ultimate engines due to the smaller rocker covers, but I appreciate all 4 cycle feedback. Thanks again and good luck on your first flight.
