Thanks Kadet.. I thought i would have to get another larger charger. Litco instructions do not say anything about charging larger than 7 amp hour gel cells.

I checked the battery and it is a 7500mah d cell. I was not sure a alpha-4 would charge nimh batteries, but the instructions said it would charge 1 to 12 cell and would charge from 10mah to 9999mah...

I went to home depot and got my C channel. The largest size was 3/4 of an inch. They did not have 7/8 C channel. do you mean i should use C channel that is 2" or larger instead of 3/4? ...
