RE: HABU 32?

Splinter,

Welcome to the Habu-32 club, you will like this jet. I don't think that which radio you are flying should impact any of the other choices of equipment.

People are having good results...

RE: HABU 32?

30 hours seems a bit long to me.  I'm guessing I spent about 1/2 that, and I'm not a fast builder.  Maybe 30 hours if you sat around and watched the glue dry. LOL!

RE: HABU 32?

rcpollo,
If you will be happy flying over 100mph you will be very happy with the stock setup on the Habu-32, it is much faster than that.  Honestly, I find no snapping tendency with the Habu.  It...

RE: HABU 32?

Ted,
Congrats on your maiden.  The more you fly it, the better you will like it.

I almost lost my Habu 32 yesterday. Another pilot had some trouble on take off while I was flying. He came...

RE: HABU 32?

Around 30 flights on mine now. Running the Castle 10amp BEC off the main battery packs, and using the Hyperion Digital Servos. I think these probably draw more current than the stock servo...

RE: HABU 32?

I think a separate BEC is a must on this plane. Especialyif you use more powerful servos.

You used the retracts? I thought you guys in Canada would still be on skis this time of year. LOL.

RE: HABU 32?

<div id="post_message_17787811">Well I'm all out of parts to bolt on my Habu 32. I guess that means I'm done with the build. After 10 days of rain off and on, the weather looks like it will be good...

RE: HABU 32?

Nice video Edgeflyer, thanks for posting. The stock power system is certianly fast enough for a first EDF pilot like me. This will be a fun change from my big, slow IMAC planes.

Congratulations on...

RE: HABU 32?

Good to hear it was caused by slow speed, rather than some design problem making the plane likely to high speed stall.

RE: HABU 32?

EdgeFlyer,
Darn, sorry to hear about the crash.  Were you flying on high rates when you snapped it in?  The good news is that the complete fuse will only be $125.99 when HH gets replacement...

RE: HABU 32?

I'm guessing you will pick up some speed. If you get 200 MPH I'll be using your new ESC settings too. LOL!

RE: HABU 32?

Well, it looks like at least the BEC portion of the speed controler is not working properly. I know that Horizon is saying that the internal BEC is good enough for the stock setup, but I have never...

RE: HABU 32?

Does your receiver start blinking after the shut-offindicating a lossof power from the BEC to the receiver?

RE: HABU 32?

dirtydingus,

I also like the "nice clean look" for the Habu.  I am planning in removing the decals, and not having the canopy floor on mine.  Yours looks just like I envision mine will.  How did...

RE: HABU 32?

When you set up your rudder to nosewheel mix just select the mix switch to be the same switch you are using for the retracts (normally the Gear Switch). Have the mix active in the gear down position,...
