RE: Engine mounting

If you are putting an ESM (used to be called KMP) September Fury together, I have a suggestion. Just mount the engine upright. The intake bumps on the cowl will just barely fit over Saito 1.80...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Yes, I did try setting valve lash to 0.0005" on one of my 1.25's, and I did have trouble getting it to idle well. It didn't start easily either. I opened them back up to just under 0.002", and I...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I don't know if you could get a Saito 82 to fit in the space you have available to you. However, if you could, you would be hard pressed to find more 4C power. It is comparable to the Mag 52 4C in...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I thought you were SUPPOSED to run the valve lash at .002"? In fact, some advocate as little as .0005" valve lash when cold. I read that in Bill Robinson's "Saito Notes". ...

RE: Como 51 ABC SCH

I took everyone's advice, and put my Como on my engine stand. It turned a MAS 11 X 6 at 13K on 15% nitro fuel that I marked junk. (I stopped using that jug of fuel for my planes, because it had...

RE: Need a carb screw for my ST G90

I'd be hesitant to use locktite near the carb barrel. If a little gets inside the carb, you might end up with only ONE throttle setting!

RE: Como 51 ABC SCH

That sounds like what I will most likely do. It just looks like it is SO well made, I almost hate to put fuel in it, like I am spoiling it. If I was hearing howls of protest about me using it, I...

Mettalica, this one is ABC, and it is Schnuerle ported. I am very impressed with the machining work.

Should be interesting, if I decide to run it!

I want to use it, but if it truly IS...

RE: first flight good, second flight BAD.

I doubt that the nitro fixed it, since he has been running no nitro before. If an engine needs nitro, it will show up immediately.

I still think he has moisture in his fuel.
