RE: HPI Mini Recon

True but I've had them for a few weeks, would still be waiting for them from the Toyz, I've had my $10 worth of fun in the last few weeks :)

RE: HPI Mini Recon

My mesh was perfect too, I tried 1 shim and it was too tight, wouldn't turn freely.

RE: HPI Mini Recon

Yes, but I had to scrape 0.8mm off the bearing housing on the lower diff casing, the MIP diff was too wide. The top cover on the Recon was 0.8mm wider than the bottom one, so it was perfect.

RE: HPI Mini Recon

Thanks.

Is it bad that they bottom out sooner than stock? I would think it's better if they can take a bigger drop? I'd like the best shocks possible :)

RE: HPI Mini Recon

Bummer, sorry it's broken!

Where are you getting parts for it? I can't find spares anywhere but just use parts (or upgrades!) from a different car like RC18, Mini T, Propulse etc.

RE: HPI Mini Recon

I forgot to mention gearing is very important too, sometimes a high kv motor won't be able to get up into it's high revs where it makes power because the cars gearing is too long for it to pull...

RE: HPI Mini Recon

I just bought this last night after much reading:
