RE: Synthetic or Mineral Oil

Yep, got some of that too. Definitely smoother, I just like the taste of the single barrel but man it's expensive.

RE: New DLE 30 with Xoar 19x8

Mine does turn a tiny bit more with the laminated props. Maybe like 7100 or so. I am going off the reading on my DX8 telemetry for rpm's. It's turning the 19X8 beech 8700 in the air on a Funtana 125....

RE: Why are helicopter glow engines so smoky????

Hey Barry, Andy might recognize this issue. OS Hyper 50 engines are notorious for eating bearings. When I bought my first one I decided to run nothing but fuel containing a blend of Castor/Synthetic....

RE: 3D flying

Stick with the foamies at first because it's not a matter of IF you are going to crash, it's a matter of WHEN you are going to crash. That's just the facts when it comes to learning to 3D. If at all...

RE: New DLE 30 with Xoar 19x8

I quit keeping track of time on my DLE30 but it has over 10 hours and turns a XOAR 19X8 Beech the same as yours, 6900. It is not set rich and I am running Redline Two Stroke Racing at 40:1. Stock...

RE: Engine noise

I respect your opinion greatly, however I must make a point about modern radio/ignition component separation. I've posted pictures on this forum of my 40 size GP Super Sportster with it's converted...

RE: My DLE 55 does not like to pull fuel to the carb after it sets for a while.

Reeds, plumbing problems, bearing seals leaking, in no particular order.

RE: What size tank on a DLE55?

Agreed Jim, some need the 20oz tank or cut back to 8 to 9 minute flights until the break-in is complete.

RE: What size tank on a DLE55?

16oz water bottle, 3D flying and landing with just over 1/4 tank after a solid 12 to 12.5 mins.

RE: Walbro experts needed

AV8TOR's advice is great and one thing to add, the little butterfly plates are cheap from Walbro. Like around 2 bucks each. I bought several when I modified my last one.

RE: DLE Stickers

In post #21, that's not an apple with a plane in the middle? Just aft of the DLE sticker it appears to be an Apple with a plane in the center with a splatter below it.

RE: DLE 55 performance/reliability ?

I'm with Andy on the 4 cell pack or diode but it may be too late. The damage may already be done as they don't like anything over 6 volts and a fully charged 5 cell pack is going to be in the...

RE: Hitec X4 programing NiCd in Auto

If your pack is getting extremely warm then definitely check the delta peak and lower it some. (It should be set to "default" from the factory.) My packs typically rise some 15 degs F before shutoff...

RE: HELP funtana 125 dle30

I'll try to measure the CG on mine. It's got a DLE30 too and I did not move my firewall. Yes, if it is just a touch tail heavy it takes some effort to get it on the ground. For the wing area this...

RE: DLA -56

If you have a way of checking the bearing clearance then consider 1.5 thousandths the maximum. More than that you should consider changing it. The bearing at the piston pin end is easy to change...

RE: Food coloring as fuel dye...

Just to make sure we keep the record straight, it is "Ethanol" that must be "Denatured" by law in order to be sold commercially for purposes other than human consumption. "Methanol" is naturally...
