One is imperial(standard inch) and one is metric. With smaller pinions and large spurs they can be interchanged, but with larger pinions and smaller spurs they get a bit noisy. The pitch difference...

Since I am running a Sport Tuned, Tamiya suggests a 27T pinion over the stock 25T pinion. Got a 64P RR pinion and switched over to the 64P spur included with the kit(foreground).

Ha, ya, nice! I see you got the one way for the 501 too. I have just finished my 501 from it sitting for about 6 months. How do you like the one-way so far?

It's hard for me to tell, but I do have the 501 which is definitely CF and there is a difference. Ya, too bad they couldn't drop in some genuine CF. Either way, I'm happy with it and doubt I'll get...

I am confused about the kit you are describing, the Dyna Storm I have is all CF except for the sides of the chassis which are plastic. The gear case is FRP and the battery tray is plastic as well as...

Ya, I just tapped the Rx and it's showing about 8V. The servo is ok for 6V so I am not going to worry. Seems odd that the 101Bk is set up that way. I also have a servo lead with a 5V choke on it so...

Decided since it's kinda vintage a Sport Tuned and 101BK would be best. Set up the slipper according to Tamiya. They have one whole page for slipper set up and how to do it properly. Pretty quick and...

Since I changed the assembly of the shocks with the diaphragm, the shocks have been leaking. I think what is happening is the oil is seeping past the outside of the sleeve which the diaphragm does...

FYI, anyone that may be wondering why the edges of the CF are white. I put CA on all the edges and then sanded them smooth.

Almost complete, just need to glue up some tires and get the shell all sorted out. It will be box art.

Electronics install and front CF brace installed. The front end was flimsy, but with the brace installed it's now solid as a rock. This is turning out to be one nice buggy!

High tech for 1992,...
