The current battery is a 25c 3700, it still cuts out, I'll try the differnt pinion, if we have no joy with that, I'll get another motor.

The thing is, it was fine with the nimh's.

Just ordered a 15t pinion.
So the motor may be too much? That's bad news, which of the losi motors would be ok? They do 3.5t to 17.5t, maybe a 6.5t?

It's faired ok so far, had a head on with the E-Firestorm and came off ok.
I have a M18MT myself, and that had a little incident with a twin detonator, needs a few new parts now :(

Thanks for the replies Guys, I thought it might be a little pricey, I will just put the nitro engine back on. If he wants an electric boat I'll source a small electric for him.

The boat weighs 4lbs. Without battery.
the boat is 30 by 13 inches and I currently use a 10x6 prop.

Greetings. Below is my old airboat, recently my boy has taken an intrest in it, so I got it out of storage for him to have a play.
I've replaced the old OS .40 nitro with a stock 540 type motor.
