I purchased the Chris Craft cast metal Boat fittings. Should I sand the bottom of each fitting and then use super glue to glue them to the boat? I have Helmsman spar urethane on the boat now. Also...

Stringers

How thick should the Stringers be on a 29 1/2 "x 9 1/2" boat?(1940 Chris-Craft Barrel Back) Building this from scratch.
1/8" or 1/4" also how thick are the bulkheads or hull frames?

Some photos of the foam hull. Needs more sanding to get the shape perfect. Did a water test with 10 Lbs on top of the boat. NO Problem---Back to sanding
