RE: Mini LST

If you buy one QUALITY motor and battery, it will have more than enough torque for all your wheelie needs along with more than enough speed for all your high speed runs.

RE: Mini LST

Depends on what you are driving it on (and your style of driving). Nobody can tell you that but you. I ran greens all around with something like 35 weight oil. On the skateparks it was blue with...

RE: Mini LST

Yea, those blues are WAY hard. I actually used them with heavy oil to launch at the skate park. Other than that, I didn't find much use for them.

RE: Mini LST

I'd say the 7400 would be perfect. I could run my 7k Wraith on stock, or close to stock gearing. I'd expect similar from the Xcelorin. Start with stock gearing. IF the stuff gets too hot, gear it...

RE: Mini LST

There is no could about it. I've used and done loads of testing with both visc. and mlst2 diffs.

RE: Mini LST

Actually, the mlst2 diffs are stronger. Visc. diffs have seal problems and weaker metal. Plus the mlst2 diffs are cheaper. I've went through great pains the make the visc diffs work, 'cause I...

RE: Mini LST

Apogee makes a 2s pack that is a direct fit. They claim the 3s pack fits, but you'll need to mod the truck to do it. These are Li-mn packs which are safer and charge faster than standard lipo...

RE: Mini LST

My findings are not in line with you. I find the mlst2 ring and pinion stronger than the visc. diff ring and pinion. I've gone through 6 different visc. ring/pinion. No stripping, just completely...

RE: Mini LST

No, the thicker washers does not help stripping. The initial problem with the visc. diffs was that the stock washer would bend and the o-ring would split. I fixed that issue by better o-rings and...

RE: Mini LST

Both the mlst2 diffs and viscious diffs have issues. I've destroyed internal gears in both. Ring and pinion in mlst2 diffs are stronger metal than visc. diffs. In stock form the visc diffs ae weak...

RE: Mini LST

I've been running visc. diffs with different o-rings and slightly thicker and wider OD washers. The wider washers allow the washer to ride on the diff itself and not the o-ring. I've been running...

RE: Mini LST

If I remember right, the visc. diffs have the same size cups as the normal diffs. The visc. diffs are the hardest wearing drive cups out for the mlst. Actually, it's the best part of the diffs...

RE: Mini LST

mlst2 diffs are arguably stronger. Visc. diffs, if they were strong enough, are the better design in my opinion. Very nice tuning with diff weight oil. Visc. diffs shoud hold up with stockers, but...

Kimbrough Savers

You just have to use a dremel and shave off the extra holes. I have my ball stud in the center, furthest out hole. After the shave down, the saver still has more than enough...

RE: Mini LST

Run Kimbrough savers. That way you aren't limited to what fits the stock savers. Besides, it's better than any stock mlst or aftermarket mlst saver. I run them on my 241's.

RE: Mini LST

I'm also running Kimbrough savers, not linked together. Much better than GPM or HR aftermarket savers.

RE: Mini LST

I would think that most brushless would provide more performance than stock. Yup, Wraith is my first choice out of your list. However, the Wraith is a little more brutal on the drivetrain.

Get...

RE: Mini LST

www.b-p-p.com carries the Wraith. If you order by 7/12, it's free shipping (but probably not to your non-US location) and 5% off.

I use notebook paper and place it between the gears. I roll the gears back and forth several times to get the paper worked in/teeth marks in the paper. After that I tighten down the...

RE: Mini LST

A quality, higher KV brushless motor can give more torque and speed than a lower quality lower KV motor with the same gearing. Just looking at KV can be a mistake. The actual makeup of the motor...

RE: Mini LST

No, what I'm saying is that the Dynamite motor you keep asking about is not powerful enough. It seems that you keep thinking KV is power, it's not. It only indicates max RPM. How many high rev 4...

Permax 400/4D. I now have it in the Vendetta ST. Things just pulls like a beast. Every time I think I have this motor over geared in the ST, it still cranks wheelies w/3s lipo. The thing has such...
