Odd. I used a 9/32 drill bit and it fit perfectly.

Shaft measured .275"
9/32 drill is .281"

.006" difference and it's nice a secure.

Whatever, it's on.

Thanks for the verification, downunder. My caliper measured the shaft diameter as, .275". Which is 6.985 mm.

Now, the question is, why doesn't my 7mm reamer work.

Can these hardened steel...

I have a metric reamer, and the first step is 1/4". Second step is 7mm, and it's still not big enough.
I did a test with the 8mm and that's definitely too big.

I just wanted to verify the...
