Is it getting fuel to the card? Have you checked the gap of the spark plug? Is the plug wet after trying to start the motor? It is easy to reassemble the carb with the gasket and pump diaphram...

With the gas can lid cracked you will get evaporation and the gas will not be as good as fresh gas or gas in a container that is closed.

What size prop? And make? If you go up in size it could lessen the noise.
