RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I have the gumption that Mother Nature must have rained on Waldo's parade. Oh well, maybe next week...

Do you have any photos of your progress on the Twipe, Waldo? I'd like to see how the wing covering looks. Good luck on your maiden!

twistedskies: I'm not sure what to make of that hand of yours, but you look like a stud! When you grin and bear it, those are the types of clients the emergency rooms like best. One of my pinkies...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

That's what I've been doing. I get it rolling, then gun the throttle to get it up there as quick as I can, full throttle. It often goes vertical and usually won't drop a wing. I level off and slow...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Thanks for the encouragement, Waldo and others. The guy with the Super Decathlon certainly has money to burn, no doubt. And he has crashed others that were even bigger! As for me, at times I can...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Went out today with the wind nice and steady. There were quite a few others there, but nobody was using my channel. The day turned out great. My OS 55 AX and Tango worked as a team, never once...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Got my Tango (or should I call it a T-_go?) up last week. There wasn't much wind, but it was nasty. It was some sort of cross wind/gust wind/updraft/downdraft type of thing that nobody likes to fly...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Since the day I crashed my Rapture, my Tango has served faithfully. Not much worry about crosswinds, especially on landing. I'm getting more used to the takeoffs, so that's starting to go easier. ...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I just figured y'all would like to see some before and after pics of my Rapture, so here goes. Note that most of the main wing is fixed, and it'll be flying again soon to keep the circle flying...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Ah yes, my favorite. But I left mine a taildragger, 'cause I LIKE the "bear on the ground handling" to put a little hair on the chest [>:]. It reminds me of a fat-winged Decathlon. Getting it up...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Although I don't own a Twist, I do have the Tango, which has the same wing. Coupling is not an issue with me, but my experiences tell me that snap tendancies mean everything in regards to...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Just a few days ago, a friend let me fly his Twist. He took it up, using a helicopter radio. Although I am used to the detented throttle, managing this plane was no problem. I did a couple...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

I have a question, not about the Twist but a model that I do believe is related. It's the new Hangar-9 Tango. I have considered the possibility of getting one of those, rather than a Twist, and...
