RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXKL3&P=Z

This is most likely all you need. Mine wore out very fast and allowed both the ball to slop inside the pushrod, and the screw to slop...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I do have my entire front window cut out and that really didn't help.

mxracer,

BOTH the stock ESC and motor overheat easily, and yes my motor did get hotter. With the Sidewinder, the ESC...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

The stock ESC DOES have heat problems. Now, on the other hand, I never said that it doesn't work at all, you can still drive you car with it, all I've said was that it is poorly designed and...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Yes, they are the same thing. Castle Creations is the company that makes it.

Here's it straight off the manufacturers website

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

No, it will not fit. It will be too thick where the battery box narrows as the ends. I have a Turnigy 3S 1800 and it might fit if I cut the entire end of the battery box off and figure out a way to...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

That's the stock piece of junk ESC causing your issues. Some peopele mask the issue by putting a fan over the esc and/or motor, but the only way to truly fix it is to buy a better ESC. Again, I love...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

You definitly need the lipos to get the amprage the Brushless system craves. As I mention before, I had the ESC programmed with my Castle Link to just about as restriced as you can get. With the...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Stock Radio
Completly stock front shocks (oil, springs)
Rear shocks have Traxxas alluminum bodies and 50wt oil
Stock diffs - fluid

Now the things that make the biggest difference:

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Here's a video of my Mini E-Revo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj9xHiyegN0

I believe all of this was with the Neu 1107/1.5D 8500KV motor. I had the 1/10th scale Sidewinder ESC programed...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

No, it's a smaller and lighter than the stock VXL, but is a special wind. I believe its 8500kv, more than double the stock motor, which makes for roughly double the power.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

That motor was in my Revo and it was the first time I actually had too much power. I had a Castle 1/10th scale Sidewinder programmed with my Casle Link to the absolute lowest motor timing, lowest...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

With a decent setup one would have no problem keeping up with 1/10 scales.

Good nobbie buggy tires.
A good ESC - 1/10 Scale Sidewinder would do - the stock ESC is junk.
And maybe a NEU!!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

They are a little taller and do make it go a little faster, but I can't tell you how much. I've never tried the stock tires with the sidewinder, and I know that also made a difference. As you can see...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

They're 2.2 rear buggy tires. Perfect fit and they work great - it's amazing how well they hook up on dirt.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

My stock servo went out, and I had one of these sitting around

It's about the same specs, but I know I can trust Hitec and it's metal gear....

It sounds interesting , but im not sure..i do not want a bigger motor, even if it is a few mm. the stocker weights beefy 135+ grams. I will test the MM ESC and see if that helsps, usually...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Here's a video of my Mini E-Revo with my buddies Neu 1107/1.5D. The setup is insane! I ran it the whole time on 2S Li-PO. If I really decide I want to test my drivetrain, I'll try this setup with 3S....
