RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Cord clipping isn't really for beginners. Once you start making change to a stock heli, other change may be needed. I suggest trying to get better a hovering and some forward flight before modding....

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Does you blade holder break? I switched to aluminum head connector and now when I crash, I break the blade holder at where it holds the bearing.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I thought about switching the whole df4 head using the 76c head since it has an adjustable pitch on the head. But I have an aluminum head connector on my df4 that have saved me ton of money. If I go...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I've been flying with metal flybar from my trex after it has crashed. I just straighten it out and use it on the df4. It keeps the square rotor head ring stronger. It doesn't break as much now. I...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Does such a rotary engine exist? Is that just a mock of rotary engine in the picture or it actually works if assembled? I wonder how long the apex seals are going to hold up when you spin it up...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I used 2 layers of masking tape and put it on the plastic the spring is pushing against. Maybe 3 layers. Then I adjusted the spring's tension to my liking and voila no notches.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

STB, isn't that what a pitch curve is for? You lower the curve so it isn't 100%, then your stick movements won't make that much of a jump on the throttle stick. Same thing with the cyclic, lower...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

SB, it's unfortunate you ended up with grey market esc and motor. At least now we know to get electronics from reputable shops whenever possible.

For the JGF motors, are you talking about the...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Would anyone be interested in my df4 if I put it up for sale? It has:

aluminum rotor head
modified head to use helihobby or like90's wood blades
Aluminum tail boom
modified main frame...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I think you're way over-analyzing the situation. Although what you've said is true, it is also true for all esc of all brand. So why didn't other brand esc get their program erased? I also think...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I've never had a problem with my Align 430L and 35G esc. I crashed and broke my 35G and they replaced it for me without question. There are soooo many Trex 450 out there running that...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

It should be the other way around. You want the MG on the cyclic, those are the ones that tend to strip.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

So far I haven't seen anyone get the em350 set, only the em150. Can you get both and let us know? :)

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

You're talking about the ones from tower right? They work identically to the stock blade. They are softer and indestructable, but since it's softer, it flexes a bit more than stock. It doesn't...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

It's a regular blade cp with a superskid-like skid on it. The metal head is from helidirect. I still have all the plastic parts and a carbon fiber main blade. 2 extra carbon fiber tail rotor, and 1...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I have a CP I'm willing to let go for the right price. It has the all metal head on it and lots of extras. I'm thinking about getting the ep100 so I want to get rid of this one.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

maybe I'll slap on the stock blades and see what I can get out of my BL set up. I can go 14min on 2150mah lipos. Yes, the lipos alone weigh 175g.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

2 individual helis definitely won't work, with them tied together, it might. I want to see it!

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

And what would that set up be. :) It'd be nice to know what components you're using to get that time besides just the feigao tail. BTW, where did you get the feigao tail from?
