I have tried a GMS .76 on it before(inverted) with a pitts muffler., flew it very well....had a tendency to deadstick though....that led to its demise...i'm now rebuilding it. I dont want to cut up...

hanger 9 P-40

I am using a super tiger .75 or .90 (mounted inverted)on my Hanger 9 P-40.....any sugestions on a muffler that will be completely hidden inside the cowl? Also, should I use an on-board glow driver...

im hoping i dont need an extention....i am getting about 11,200 with the stock muffler and 15% fuel, with a 12x8 prop.....

will be for a great planes F-4 phantom

Flew it today with a 12X8 prop....good power, flew great at 3/4-full throttle, but that muffler....really robs all the power of the engine! Definitly needs...

Just maidened my Venus 2....I love it! I have a super tiger.90 with a pitts muffler on it, spinning a 13x6 prop...I think its a great combination. Plenty of power! Slows down to a crawl on...

Got my Venus 2 today! It is huge! a little larger than my hanger 9 P-40. It really looks awesome...even has the wheel pants beefed up where the axels will go! I got a super tiger .90 with a bisson...

Just ordered the Venus 2 arf from tower hobbies...paid $250 for it.....and free shipping! should get it by saturday....will post some remarks when I get it.

I used to have one-----didnt like the way it flew, retired it. had an OS.61FX on her. I then built a great planes F-14....A very nice flying plane---I dont understand why they discontinued it! ...

Hello----thanks for the compliments....those are my 2 sons in the pictures, they helped me! They enjoy helping me build planes. The CG is 14 3/4 to 16 1/2 inches from the firewall. Its a huge cg...

yeah----thats how I normally take off with my tail draggers, but I just cant keep the P-40 from nosing over----even when taxiing. Its not nose heavy at all, balances right at the recommended CG.
