I told you above the FETs were probably the problem and not the connector. Anyway not all is lost you can unsolder the FETS, one by one so you will be able to see if there are some FET short, usually...

I don't see why the conncetor could be short unless the plug would have bad from the beggining.
If you still didn't test the motors could be a FET, then once burnt and opened the rest of the circuit...
