Building twist 40 kit - messed up. Will this pose a prob?

I started building my twist 40 arf last night, and made a dumb move. I got distracted when putting on one side of the elevator, and didn't make it flush with the stab..

This is what I'm talking...

So my UCD's landing gear came off about 5 times now.. What is the best way to prevent this?!

I've just been epoxying the $*#& out of it, and it seems to hold for a few flights, then come off again. Just yesterday I was taxiing, and as soon as I rolled off the pavement and on to the grass,...

Easiest way to get longer servo throws?

I have JR 537 servos on my UCD. I know they're pretty basic as far as servos go, but they fly the UCD nicely (and they're what I had laying around!).. But, I can't get the extreme throws that I think...

RE: *U-CAN-DO .46 Modified*

I have about 6 flights on mine (all stock), with an OS .65LA, and it's been flying flawlessly.

I've gotten it pretty fast too. It'll hover, and pull out, but not with authority. I'm going to...

RE: It flies!!!

Sorry for the lack of details :)

It's the U-Can-Do .46. I'm using a spare OS .65LA I've had laying around for over a year. The engine works awesome on it, and it is very powerful. The prop is...

RE: What battery choice for a UCD .46?

Just wondering what the best battery to use in this plane is. I guess it's got 6 standard servos? So, 6 servos, and RX. Nicads or Nimh's? Or even lithiums?

I was never good at coming up with...

RE: Biggest engine for a U-Can-Do 40 size?

Ok, thanks for the help. I will do that then, and see how it flies, then go from there.

Thanks for the prop reccommendation too - I'm never good at figuring that out :)

Thanks

RE: Biggest engine for a U-Can-Do 40 size?

See.. Now I'm confused :)

Hegasis says that the FS .70 runs good. The FS 70 is 1.1hp and weighs 22.1oz with muffler. My OS .65LA is 1.7hp and 18.9oz. Shouldn't the 65 LA be a better choice? It's...

Biggest engine for a U-Can-Do 40 size?

I'm planning on getting one of these in the next few days. I have a spare OS .65LA laying around. Is this too big? I like my planes to run pretty hot - but will this be too heavy? I'm just asking...

RE: Anyone ever mod an "Advance 40" to a 3D plane?

Yeah, it is about 6lbs. And I don't believe I built it with any dihedral, I could be wrong though. I guess worst case is I get a fast pattern plane that does most aerobatics..

Any suggestions...

RE: Dorked my Shocky :(. Tips on fixing?

Sanded it, and it looks a little better. Weight ready to fly with the battery is 9oz. COG is just at 60-61mm.

Going to test it out right now..
