You might try moving the fuel tank as close as you can and see if that solves anything. As for pumps either the Perry VP-40SG or a Walbro style carb you are going to need to pick up either pressure...

The SonicTronics driver works very well. I have used them on 7 & 9 cylinder radials for some time now. Make sure you follow their recommendations as to battery size. 5 glow plugs will pull 11-15 amps...

No apologies necessary.

You are right, the conrods rotating and all that oily mixture does do wonders for the <u>bearings</u> in the engines, but the low oil content would not do well...
