RE: Cheap Motor & ESC For 1/8 Buggy

My current set up on my Ofna Buggy8e is the stock Toro, AKA Trackstar ESC with a Turnigy 1900kv motor on a 18T pinion. So far it's been a smooth and flawless setup. Still very touqey with much better...

RE: Motor?

Stock motor is off to Ofna. Temped at 230 only 9 minutes into my 4th run. While letting it cool I was looking over the buggy to find that the motor can was super loose. As soon as I took it out, one...

RE: Motor?

"Well, I ran it on 6S and it fried the stock motor. As far as gearing goes, I have found this buggy to be very under-geared - you need to gear it up and NOT down. The motor screams for more...

RE: Motor?

There is no reason to swap out the stock 15T pinion to run 6s on this buggy. What gear ratio do you thik it needs to be at? I've even messaged some of the users on YouTube that are leaving these...

RE: Motor?

So from what I've found the Toro ESC is the SAME thing as the Turnigy, HobbyKing version. Specs and design are 100% match. The Turnigy ESC says you can run 4-6s set-up but the ESC is limited to a...

RE: Motor?

Im just going to run 4s for now and Im sure that'll be more than enough power for me. Just curious about the 6s because others have ran it on that stock ESC and claim to have had no problem. One guy...

Motor?

What's the difference between a 4 pole and 6 pole 1/8 motor? Currently running a Toro system in my Ofna Buggy 8 and was wondering what the difference is. The stock 1900kv motor is a 4 pole but Ive...

RE: Ofna Buggy8 Brushless

Well I got the Buggy 8 and ordered 4x2S 5000mah lipos anyway. The ESC is 150A and I'm trying to find some more info on it. So far from what Im reading, it should handle up to 25.4v but in the...

Ofna Buggy8 Brushless

Curious to know if this buggy can be ran off 11.1v lipos vs 14.4? I only ask because I already have 4 and use to use them on my Associated rc8e. Although it wasn't crazy fast, it was still fun and...

RE: POST A PIC OF YOUR DRIFTER THREAD!!!!!!!!!

Hey Chilly, a few people will tell you that the disc breaks are more for show then real use. They have a tendency to not allow the wheel to stay tight and you may find yourself chasing after your...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

Easiest thing to do is buy the Castle Creations SideWinder 5700kv system. Only runs on 2S and will give you the numbers your looking for by just playing with the gearing a bit. As for what gearing to...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

The aftermarket body will fit just fine. Like any aftermarket body, you just have to drill the holes for mounting it.

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

When you have a new ESC you have to recalibrate it. Look in the instruction manual it'll walk you through it.

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

You never want your 2S lipos to go lower than 3.2v per cell so a 6.7v cutoff is just fine. When you say that the lipos not charging past 3.67v is that combined? If so then it sound like you have a...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

* 6-7 Cell NiMH/ NiCd or 2 Cell Lithium Polymer.
* 70A* Continuous / 380A burst current.
That was pulled from HPI's website under the Sport Flux info. I have a friend with a HPI Flux but he...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

DR, not that I've noticed. I think the throw is pretty good anymore will be overkill. LOL My rear belt rubs on the motor and my front belt only rubs when I run my hard case lipos.

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

Yeah that's nothing to worry about. I've had my Sprint 2 for about 8 months now with no issues. Before that I had a normal Sprint and that I had for about 2 years, never an problem with the lipo's...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

Inside the ball diff is a small flat head screw that you tighten/loosen up as you see fit. I tighten it and add super glue to make sure it's not going anywhere. I also found that using the adjustable...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

For the Sprint 2 there are no diff locks. I bought the adjustable diffs at first and simply super glued them. Did that to the front and rear and I LOVED it. Then later on I upgraded the front to a...

It's not a dollhouse assbag, it's a garage. And that's my RedBull arch way. We use the display stuff at shows and demos.
