RE: Difficulties with new OFNA RTR Hyper 7 Black

It sounds like you have an air leak. I have the same car/engine combo and before I ran it for the first time I removed the engine, removed the back plate and carburetor. I ran some high temp copper...

JW

Yeah, I set the gain above 50%. I even turned it up until the TR started rotating then backed it off just until the motor quit humming. The problem is two-fold. The tail rotor does not spool...

RE: Hyper 50 damage

Figured it out Bax. Two things, first is that you are not supposed to install the hyper 50 thrust washer on a Raptor fan and second the engine kicked hard before it lit off for the first start,...

RE: Hyper 50 damage

Ok. I was running the thrust washer with a raptor fan and I guess that is not supposed to be so the problem may have been identified. As always, thanks for the input Bax

Raptor Titan/ Hyper 50 question

Does the black thrust washer that comes with the hyper have to be installed between the fan and the front bearing? I am getting conflicting stories.

RE: Hyper 50 damage

The backplate was gouged significantly, quite a few rings probably around .010". Before the first start of the day the engine was a little tight to turn over (by hand with the wand) but after one...

Hyper 50 damage

What would cause the crank to rub on the back plate? When I disassembled the engine the fan was on tight however the crank would move very slightly fore and aft. The rear bearing was rusted and it is...

Bax,

After 4 years my 3250 still hasn't broken in. Just messing with you, I've only run a half gallon of fuel over those 4 years. Anyway...I am going to mess around with the stock carb and was...

RE: Lets see your ULTRA SPORTS !!!!!!!!!!!

SD,

The performance is unbeleiveable. With the weight being around the same as that of the ST3000 the plane balances well. Ever since I had seen the original "build" in RCM, quite some time ago,...

RE: Lets see your ULTRA SPORTS !!!!!!!!!!!

SDCranford...Sorry to hear about your US 1000 crash. I finally took mine off of the shelf after 2 years. Having it on the shelf for so long wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't new. I built the plane over...

RE: Pica 1/5 Bucker Jungmeister

Russ,

Since you had yours powered with an OS 91 2-stroke, I imagine a 1.20 2-stroke is a bit too much. 1.20 is the same dispalcement that was on there but the engine was a Tartan 2-stroke, not...
