Switch to an APC 10x7 SF prop, and it just cuts through the wind, even on the stock battery. I do all kinds of stupid things, but never have to fight the wind.

I use clear tape on all my props for airplanes, works just fine. Just have to check it every so often to make sure its not peeling up.
