I agree a tech thread would be great. The issue is you never know who is posting and if its good info. Heres my experience with different intake systems. My least favorite is the Piston Port design....

At 6000 RPM I am sure you would benefit from lower ports. RPM is not the important factor though, piston speed is. They are not always the same. When manufacturers design port timing specs its...

When you say exhaust ports are close to the same do you mean port timing or the dimension on the port outlet and screws? The other question is if you look at the OEM specs the Evo says 9000 RPM peak...

WOW.. Is that 9000 rpm static on the ground? The listed peak on their website is 8000. Have you tried any other prop combinations? Hows the general "runability" of the engine. Starts easy, idles...
