I agree with TFF.

I too have one of these engines and could not for the life of me get it to idle on a OS 8, OS 3, or a McCoy #9. Put in a K&B with idle bar, problem solved!!!

I had the same problem with my AX.[:@] Went and bought a MACs one piece black replacement muffler. Problem solved!:D

Best way to launch a V-Tail Q500 racer is, full up elevator and full throttle. It helps if you have someone hold your plane while you throttle up. Let it go and hold on....
