RE: Mini LST

Yeah I installed them on my E-Maxx. The EC3 connectors have the wires soldered on the inside of a round connector, while the Traxxas have the wire soldered on to a flat bar, like deans. You have to...

RE: Mini LST

I hate the Traxxas plugs, I'm not to fond of Deans either. I used Losi/E-flite EC3 plugs on my 1/18th Raminator, they are definately the easiest of the 3 to install IMO and they work great.

RE: Mini LST

Not to sound stupid here but what is a lockout?

Edit: Oh wait is it a spool?

RE: Mini LST

If the center driveshafts are spinning but the shafts that go to the wheels aren't it has to be the diffs.

RE: Mini LST

That's wierd because I've bashed the crap out of mine and run it on the track with no problems. Is it possible you put it back together wrong after you filled them? It's been too long I don't...

RE: Mini LST

I guess I've gotten lucky with the viscous diffs, I've been running them for months in my Raminator (with dual frenzy 370's, Losi 1650mAh LiPo and 25t pinions) and haven't had a single problem with...

RE: Mini LST

I had that problem on my Raminator. I cut a thin piece of fuel tubing and put it in the drive cups on the diff, it keeps the shafts from sliding in so far and popping out.

RE: Mini LST

My ball diff is as tight as I can get it and it wont wheelie, it will with the spool though.

RE: Mini LST

Well I've been bitten by the upgrade bug again and have decided to go brushless. My truck is a Mini Raminator that I've upgraded with the 2nd Frenzy 370 motor, Losi center ball diff, Losi viscous...

RE: Mini LST

I got my truck in the middle of November and one of the stock servos just died a few days ago, so it lasted about 2 months. As for the noise, mine does make some noise when I roll it by hand or when...

RE: Mini LST

Yeah I got them at Galaxy. I asked at Hobbytown but they didn't have the JR's, and they told me to use hitec servo's but I know the splines are wrong so I went over to Galaxy.

RE: Mini LST

They fit perfectly but they only have one hole on each end for mounting instead of two holes like the stock servos. I put them in place and drilled holes in the chassis for the mounting screws. It...

RE: Mini LST

Uh.......for?

By the way congradulations on the MLST2, they're a lot of fun. I'm not sure what you consider loud, but I don't think mine is loud at all. Make sure the drivetrain is smooth. I...

RE: Mini LST

I'm having bad luck with servos [:@]

One of my stock servos gave out the other day so I went to the hobby-shop and bought a pair of JR SM22's and installed them. Everything worked great for...

RE: Mini LST

I do a lot of full throttle on mine, and the only time it will shut down is when the battery voltage gets low. Are you sure there's no binding in your drivetrain which might be overloading the esc?

RE: Mini LST

So which is better, the stock plastic diffs when they're boiled, or the MLST2 diffs with the metal ring and pinion? I would assume if I was to use the MLST2 diff, I should still boil the plastic...

RE: Mini LST

Yes you are confusing people. The stock Mini LST2 diff is not at all the same as the viscous diff, it uses different components and is not sealed. Just because they both have metal gears and fit the...

RE: Mini LST

Hey thanks grimreaper79, I currently have the stock all plastic diffs that came with the Raminator. I had to replace the front diff the 2nd day I had it, and all was well after that until I locked my...

RE: Mini LST

You're giving me advice? Where? You said to read what you said about the diffs, but as far as I can see you were talking about the viscous diffs, so I asked you if you meant the viscous diffs. You...

RE: Mini LST

Sorry but I find that hard to believe since you said they are the same diff, and they are very different. Also how about instead of saying "youll find out the hard way" you actually say what the...

RE: Mini LST

And what is it I'm supposed to be finding out? The diffs are completely different than the visous diffs, and they don't have the washers you were having trouble with. As I said, the stock Mini LST2...

RE: Mini LST

No, it's not. ;)

The Mini LST2 does not come stock with the viscous diffs. It has the same diff as the mini LST and Raminator, except that the ring gear and pinion are metal. The rest of the...

RE: Mini LST

You mean about the viscous diffs? I'm not getting the viscous diffs, I'm getting the metal ring and pinion that's stock in the Mini LST2.

RE: Mini LST

I'm going to have to try the mini lst2 metal diff gears in my Raminator. I've already replaced the front ring and pinion with stock platic ones once, but last night I used some epoxy to lock my...
