Yes I use nylon tafeta flag bunting that I get at the local fabric store. I hate having to mail order most stuff if I can find it local.

Why no bipes

Ok It's not hard to build a 11 pound bipe and for some a 2X2 bipe is easier to see then a monoplane. It's all in what you are use to. And a big bipe does presents better to the Judges, Just ask Chip....

Yes do put a relay in the system. I did not the first time and had to buy a new vacuum switch. The refrigerator compressor can pull up to 30 amps when cold and that will take out the vacuum switch.

Tank Covers

Has anyone put a tank cover on a DD?
I'm building one now that starts at the engine and covers the tank and tuned pipe. The tank is a custom job that is wedge shape and sit down inside the tank bay....
