Go with the 30cc for this one. My CAP weighs 10lb 11oz. It flies great, and flies fast, vertical is good. However, for 3D it is not enough for this weight. I finally got the airframe dialed in enough...

I had to edit the last prop number, it was a 16x8 not an 18x8 as I had listed. Way too much RPM with this prop!

For what it's worth, I did see the fish scale hit 15lb 3oz once on the 17x6,...

I have had two 120ax's and they are great nitro engines. I would say that it would be comparable or better in performance. I ran my last 120ax in an Aeroworks Yak with a finished dry weight...

Here is how I installed my choke arm, just drill and tap in the front of the engine mount and put a wire. I put fuel tube over the choke wire just to keep metal to metal vibration down.

My point exactly. I don't have any gas engines that have not put out more thrust with a Vess prop, so we'll get some video / pics this weekend and we'll have to see.....

We tested one of my DLE 30's on Sunday night with a Vess 19A it pulled 18lb 14oz of thrust, so that would put you at about 2:1 power to weight with the 30. My 20 is due today and the plane is all...

So, just to clearly verify the timing for the DLE 20 should be set at 45 or 28-30 or 32???

If you're going to compare glow to gas then great, never going to get 10k RPM's out of a gasser, would not want to. Glad they are noisy, get some ear plugs if you don't like it!!!
