That "puddle master" will act as a crank-case stuffer, you may get a bit of an increase in power with it.

If the correct area of fuel puddling can be located a small hole drilled from carb side to crank side could cure or lessen the problem, depending on which side of the reed block the puddling is...

Try this, roll plane to left or the worst idle side, then open the throttle at least half way and let the engine run for about 10 seconds then go to idle. After returning to idle does the engine idle...
