I believe Protrax was in the USA but it's my understanding that they only did the assembly between early 1999 and late 2000 then the assembly was moved over seas to the current facility.

For a long time Traxxas contracted out their assembly to a company call Protrax. The Rusty and Pede where the first two trucks to be offered RTR as I recall. I'm not sure how long that relationship...

Hold on a sec.... The Wildcat is a Traxxas?!?!.... I have one of those in my box of Misc cars. I've had it since I was a kid but never gave it any thought as I thought it was just some random pile...
