RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Your motor would also explode before you hit top speed, lol. It's only rated to 60k rpm's. Mayeb a good outrunner though, or a neu 1521, insane.

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

In that pic, they would be wired in parrallel, but that is not what we meant in this thread when saying 6s. In this thread, when we say 6s, we mean 2 x 3s. A 6s SYSTEM (or setup), has a total of 6...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

ok, so when you say 2s or 3s or 6s, it means 2, 3, or 6 cells or connected in series. when you buy a 3s pack, there are 3 cells connected in deried internally. When you connect 2 3s packs in series,...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

100% is the least power, 0% is the most power. Putting less than 100% gives you more power. If you can control the throttle at low speeds, you can get more power at the high end by decreasing punch...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I said it 5 times fast (and failed)... :P
regardless, i don't think I am underestimating the power. I know that the power/torque is limited ONLY by the amount of current you can deliver. However,...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

In case you didn't read my post, I was talking about torque, not HP. HP being level attributes to torque going down. Just because you are making power, doesn't mean you can accelerate any more. 50k...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Used the online speed calculator thing, and after soem fiddling, you would need 27:25 spur:pinion ratio to achieve 100mph assumming NO WIND RESISTANCE, and 40 road rage wheels (the script doesn't...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I know BL makes massive HP, but you have to remember that unlike gassers, electric has the mass of its torque on the low end (in theory torque is a negative power function [a/x^n], but in practice...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

lol. pretty much, unless there isn't enough downforece, in which case, a little extra weight will help (but fixing the aerodynamics will work better)

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

The "rotational mass" is the same as the mass (as in, there is no such thing). I think you are mixing up stuff. The mass is the same, but when the motor is moving it, it is not only moving the object...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Your point is completely correct, but I want to add to that by saying 1gram to 13 gram ratio he gave is somewhat incorrect (athough correct enough for the point being made). It is actually more than...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

The benefit of that BEC is that it makes full use of your servo's. The nuilt in BEC only puts out 5 or 5.5v (can't remember right now). The external BEC can be programmed up to 9v. So, you can run it...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

SInce the ESC modulates speed using PWM, you would theoretically get longer run times by using 6s and limiting the speed either electronically, or by not pulling the trigger all the way. Regardless,...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Drivign on asphault is a LOT more strenuous on the drivetrain than dirt and other low traction material. On dirt, you lose traction before there is enough strain to break the diffs, which is why you...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

lol, I have done some pre-emptive CEN diff ordering as well, lol. I have about 10 runs so far, but they have all been easy going. I want the current diffs to last as long as possible.

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Nifty trick I found for setting the mesh on a brushless is to loosen the set screw, so that the pinion can spin freely on the shaft. then, set the mesh like that, and then tighten it back up again.

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

Cool, I am running a nomadio system, so monitoring temps isn't a problem. The current temp is always on screen. If the batts go over 120 or the motor goes over 160 it will yell at me too. I think I...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I know it comes with the 25t pinion, but I don't know when you are supposed to use it. If you are supposd to go to 25t with 6s then my truck is WAYYYYYYY under geared. I am running the kershaw...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I thikn it uses the main leads for higher amp charging. It is not constantly balancing them, it balances at the end. the JST plugs are not rated to 5amps (I think). I believe it uses the main plugs...

RE: Just dropped ~$1200 on a Flux

I plug in both, but I never even tried doing just the balancing plugs. That may or may not work. YOu don't need to scroll through all the cells. It shows all 6 cells on one screen, 2 rows of three....

LMAO, is it just me or does that venom charger seem to be EXACTLY the same as the accucel-6?
