Silicone adhesive won't hold. You need super glue or a C/A tire glue. I have found differences between super glue and Tire glue. Yes they are both C/A Glues, but the tire glue seems to bond better...

Bob smith industries makes some bad A** black tire glue infused with rubber. Best stuff I ever used. We keep 300 bottles of it on hand at all times.
