Fred its up to you what you want to do on your boat. Fred to give you a 411,He has 7+ unfinished hull's and it's been 5+ years and not one is finished as of yet.

HJ quit being a downer. Some guy's like to make improvments in there boats or mod them to make them perform better. If guy's want to do there boats that way,let them. It's not your boat. So why...

You should've taken that plastic insert out.. it restricks air flow.. I did that before sanding my hull. plus made a trunk compartment at the rear,because I'd added adjustable strut and different...
