RE: radds?

I can tell you right now that following RADDS will save you a pile of money. I followed the protocol and learned to hover a CP Pro as a newbee in 30 days without damaging my new heli.
It might seem...

RE: Caught On Video: CP Pro Electrical Glitches, New Vids Posted

I had the same problem once and it turned out to be one servo that was bad. When you move the right control around with the motor unplugged, watch the servos very closely and you will see one twitch....

RE: Blade CP Pro Diagram/Parts (newbie)

When you are looking to put it all together or to balance or fix a problem use this thread. I actually copied it into Word an created my own repair manual.

A tip to protect your blade tips

The plastic over the tip of my woodies came apart from an edge strike so I tried some heavy gauge tape which worked but only for a few flights. I removed the tape and put on a small amount of...

RE: Tail fin template?

Here is a tail fin that I made out of rigid plastic that fits either the CP or CPP nicely. It was bonded to the tail boom and the tail stand using epoxy.

RE: Hovering the CP PRO?

It sounds like the the swash plate is not 100% level in all directions. Also make sure sure that the trim settings on the radio are centered. It should lift fairly straight up in the air. The other...

RE: CP Pro main rotor Runaway

I had a similar problem with my new CP Pro, when I shut it down, the main rotor would fire up to full RPM's 3 or 4 times before I could get to it and unplug it. I anchored it down to a heavy board...

RE: Hello and Thankyou all

The most important thing to do with your heli pompyjohn is to make sure that the swash plate is 100% level on all sides. What I do is put it on my pool table, which is perfectly level and use a level...

A great tip for CP and CP Pro users

I've been practicing with my CP Pro every day in doors in a carpeted room since I got it back in December, and one of the things I find is that the tail rotor stand catches on the carpet all of the...

RE: Interesting observation

Yes it was right from the warm house to the cold. By the way, I'm so glad that I made the decision to by the BCPP and not a lesser heli. It has bee tough to learn but following RADD's and not jumping...

RE: Interesting observation

Well I tried it again tonight with a full battery and about the same air temperature and sure enough it took more power to get the heli to hover.

One thing I did learn was that you can quickly...

Interesting observation

I took my CPP outside this afternoon for the first time because there was no wind and no snow on the driveway. Anyway, I had to get it up to about 90% throttle just to get it to hover. I could only...

RE: Help with lift off ??

I had the same problem and figured out the my battery wasn't fully charged. Did you by chance run it down too long last time you were flying?

RE: Radds School.

I too work in an 8 x 8 foot area and have learned how to fly my CPP from scratch using training gear. Working in such as small area as taught me great control but it has taken quite a while to learn...

RE: How many people with servo problems?

Good one Scidoc. It is always worth a phonecall or an email. They sent me out a replacement charge back in January based on a phone conversation.

RE: How many people with servo problems?

Scidoc, I sent them an email explaining the problem and was given directions about returning the product. I had to provide a credit card number for billing purposes on the freight back to me but I...

RE: How many people with servo problems?

In defence of Horizon, I just sent back the radio and one servo for my CP Pro and new ones were just sent out to me two days after they received the faulty products.

I am quite disappointed...

RE: Strange Occurance - Blade CP Pro

I just replaced a servo yesterday that was doing the same thing. When I hovered the heli would jump up and down and was very difficult to control. Is yours brand new or second hand? If it is brand...

RE: Li-Po on Blade CP/CP Pro

Personally, I would stick to the rule of thumb that when the Heli starts to slow down, shut it down and charge it up. This way you know that you are not running the battery down to far.

RE: Strange Occurance - Blade CP Pro

Check the setup on your helicopter as a starting point. Mine was not 100% out of the box. Watch the videos here: Videos

Also make sure that your swash plate is 100% level. This will help insure...

RE: Li-Po on Blade CP/CP Pro

When they said 3 volts, they meant per cell times three cells. Trust me when I say that when you hear the motor start to slow down and you have to increase the throttle in order to keep in aloft,...

RE: For a Beginner heli pilot

Sure if you had the money buy both but I'm sure that you are not in that boat.

I looked into both and bought the CP Pro because I figured that in the long run I would be happier with a bird that...

RE: Li-Po on Blade CP/CP Pro

I've only had my CP Pro for 2 months and had some similar battery problems.

First of all, always cool off the battery before charging.

When the motor starts to slow down in a hover, shut...
