Did you ....

Did you accidentally build 1 degree up thrust rather than down thrust when putting the firewall on the fuse.

Easy mistake considering the fuse is built upside down on the plans. That could...

I should have mentioned that ....

My APC did not fit either. I did the mod myself though. A dremel and a grinder drum does the trick. As I recall, I did not have to take off to much to get it just where the prop and the spinner cone...

I run a...

12X9 (Will switch to a 12X8 here soon) And it seems close. I do think I can add another 1/2 to each tip and still clear with the stock retract location. I don't think I need to though. the 12X9, 12X8...

Mine like Richards is...

About a 1/4" behind the aft range location and I think it is just fine. Slows right down for a great landing and gives it a snappy feel in the air.

My opinion though.

What motor are you...

I flew mine...

4 more flights and am loving every minute of it. I think I have to much pitch on my prop. I am running a 12 X 9 and I just crawl out of a hover. I am going to switch to a 12 X 8 and see if it helps....

Retracts work fine. I don't think two flights will tell me if they will hold up over time. Heck, as cheap as they are, I will just replace them if they don't with another pair. I fly off of pavement,...

SHE FLEW!!!!!!!!!

Despite the 4 inches of snow we got (and really needed) here. I loaded up my seaplane expecting to get some air time off the snow. I got to the airfield and not one bit of snow was there. I drove all...

No...

But almost for the motor. Actually, my wife is very supportive of my hobby. She likes how giddy I get when I get a new part, or start a new plane. This time I told her that I was going giant scale...

Take the paint you intend on using and try it on one of the ABS cowl pieces you got recently and flex it after it is dry. Paint it as you would the FG one. Primer, base, trim, etc. and then bend the...

APC's....

Are the only way to go. Much more efficient and get a better bite on the air. I was using TF Power points until it was suggested that I switch. I threw my first APC on and it was like a new plane. I...

It is...

Auto paint. Not sure of exact composition. Superior Paint here in Utah matched it for me and put it in a spray can. Very convenient. I will never use lustrekote again.
