RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Who cares how much it weighs? As long as you like the way it flies that's all that matters.. Sometimes we get to hung up on weight.. That little DL 30 might fly it pretty good too!

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Thats one minus with the Brillelli setup, that "muffler" is loud as hell. The DA50 on a Tuned pipe is so much quieter then it. I don't have any experiance at all unless touching one at the LHS counts?

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

A 170 would be an animal on this Yak,but it's also is going to be a fuel hog and it has to run on the YS fuel.. Evo 46 would be a great gasser for it, and they sip gas.. But if your not worried about...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

That's whats so great with this hobby,so many choices... It's wasn't so much for the weight as much for the simplicity ..

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

On my ignition I'm just using 6v 1700 Nicad. On my 88" I'm just using a 4.8 nimh 2800 on the ignition, save just that smidge of weight with out the regulator..

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

On mine I'm using a hitec 5955 which is a little overkill for this Yak,since I have the same one on my 88"Yak. The rudder is where you should put the best servo you can afford. I've learned in the...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Oh I know...I think my next one is going to be the 78"Extra,and sell my 74" but may just sell it without the motor and use the Brillelli 46 in that, with a tuned pipe it would be awesome!! Ilove the...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

I'm pretty sure the Brillelli 46 is a Poulan conversion,it also has the beam mount.. This thing has a ton of compression for it's size.

I don't remember exactly how much it weighsbut its got to...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Once you get it into the air all your worries will go away. It will fly better then a smaller plane, bigger planes are easy to fly.

If your that nervous, let someone else do the maiden for you.
