RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I talked with a guy who runs the local electric fly club and he helped me understand why the 20 A ESC did not last on my Super Cub. He pointed out that I have added ailerons to the wings with 2 more...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

The wind let up enought for me to try the flaperons. Into a slight breeze I think the roll out is less than 4 feet for take off and landing. There was no elevator trim or mixing required when the...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Mr. Mugen
I used your aileron mod from a few pages ago. Works very nice indeed. I modified the compartment to hold a 3 cell lipo as you posted also. I set it up with the DX6 receiver and a 20...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Mr. Mugen – one of my next projects is to add ailerons to the Super Cub. I see by your last post that you have concerns about wing loading. Is your concern from added weight to the plane or the...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Here is a tip…
I had the cub away and up high yesterday when the transmitter started beeping for low battery. I though I would have about 5 minutes to get the plane down so I took my time...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Getting nice weather here for a change. The snow is still knee deep out back and there is plenty of room to take off and land with the skis. Last flight I was flying a little low and slow when the...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

WJCJR - I have been very happy with the E-flight 10x8. You will need to add 2 more nuts on the prop shaft as the nut seat is deeper on these props.

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Solar – on page 53 under suggested tips you mention reinforcing the fuselage where the wing rests. I see that my planes wing has a little more slop than I like. Did you reinforce the trailing...

Nebukatnizar - in reply to your aerobatics question. I love to see how far I can tailslide. I did get her to roll in a vertical dive but there was only room for one rotation as it was rather slow. ...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

These super cubs are so forgiving. I hastily replaced a prop yesterday, set the plane down and floored it. It had plenty of prop speed but not much acceleration. It still got off of the ground but...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread
