RE: Battery Charger??

Unfortunately the Superbrain doesn't have a proper lithium charging program - that is quite a shortcoming these days.

RE: Largest Electric heli

It certainly isn't impossible to build such a relatively low power, very low Kv motor. I'd say the hard part is keeping the diameter down. It has to have a large diameter to develop the torque...

RE: Electric newbie

Unless you only want to fly indoors, why don't you get an Eolo or a Logo? Much better helis than the micros. Don't get me wrong, I have a Hummingbird and I enjoy flying it indoors, but it is cheap,...

RE: Electric helicopter

I don't mean to pick on anyone in particular here, but there is an absurdity to some of the arguments I have seen regarding electric and glow powered helis.

I think we need to stop comparing...

RE: Electric helicopter

It is obviously time to hear from someone who flies electric helis. Me. ;)

I actually agree that if you don't care which one you start with, you will get more knowledgeable help and more...

RE: hummingbird problems

Tail rotation will always be CCW viewed from the right side with the stock tail - but the most important thing is that it generates a force that counteracts the rotation of the heli when you turn the...

RE: hummingbird problems

Have you checked the sense on your tail motor? If you turn the heli quickly counterclockwise by hand, for example, the tail motor should work against you and speed up.

RE: JR Voyager E Troubles

I've heard of this before. I think two solutions are normally used. One is to run a higher head speed as previously suggested. (7 cells is inadequate anyways). The other is to change the o-ring...

RE: Nose In Hover

Yes this is a great idea. I never thought of the fuel thing, but I always take off and land nose in on the sim. As a result, I am as comfortable nose in as nose out.

RE: Hacker vs Plettenberg vs Razor

I just got a B20-22S from http://www.greathobbies.com/ last week.

Worth a try...

RE: automatic nose up during forward flight

I can't speak for the Logo 10, but my Logo 20 doesn't pitch up at all.

I suspect the Logo 10 would be similar.

RE: Hummingbird - tearing my hair out ;(

Yes. It sure sounds like your receiver isn't getting a useable signal from your transmitter. The three basic causes are:

- no output from transmitter
- receiver not working
- channel...

RE: Hummingbird - tearing my hair out ;(

Sounds like your transmitter isn't on.

Your transmitter should be on before you power up the receiver.

Always turn on the transmitter first when powering up and last when powering down. ...

RE: Which Micro to buy

Between the Hornet and the Fun Picollo, I would pick the Hummingbird. CP "should" be an option soon.

RE: joker batteries

You might want to try HR-SC2600 NiMH cells. More capacity and more voltage.

RE: Senior Telemaster with Astro 40

I converted a Sr. Telemaster years ago. I have an old Keller 100 in it with a 2:1 belt drive turning an 18" prop. With 27 cells, it has enough power for aerotowing.

Could do even better with...

RE: The best of the mini R/C helis?

I have no practical experience with them but my research suggests the Hummingbird is probably the best choice for durability and ease for beginners. The supplied motors aren't great though. If...

RE: Trainer heli?

Brushed motors generally don't do well in helis. The availability of good brushless motors is a major reason why electric helis have "taken off" (pardon the pun).

Can you afford all the support...
