Thats a sympton of one of the wires from the motor being bad. Probably a bad solder joint.
When the motor is twitching like that grab a motor cable and wiggle it, one at a time. With any luck the...

Hi Pete.
Great looking job on the Cub and your flight box is very neat.
I would get rid of those Tamiya connectors, they will let you down.

BTW. Love the Spit you have.

Looking at the plane from the rear.
If the problem of pulling to the left is to do with your thrust line, then you need to point your motor further to the right.

Here are the Anderson Powerpoles. Note, they are much bigger than the Deans ultras.

Yes, the old soldering iron has to come out.;)
Powepoles are another good connector which can be crimped on.

I like the Deans as they go together fairly tight. For some they are too tight.
