RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I've posted this before, but I'll reiterate that there is no reason at all to have to grind or cut away anything to get the 480 motor installed. I've used this technique with two different 480...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I have seen video of an mpxt with the 480/1020 motor in a power dive and the right stab appeared to be fluttering badly. Never heard of one separating however.

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I presume if you are using the AR6100 that it is version 1.2 which corrected the uncommanded elevator output issue?

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I guess a couple of quick concerns is that the balance of the plane has moved and would need to be rebalanced at the specified CG. Also, there doesn't seem to be any inlet air holes to help cool the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

For me, and I think most others, I could achieve balance just by moving the battery forward or aft in the battery tray, and I found it to be more nose heavy requiring me to move the 2100 battery...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

One thing to check is if you are using the prop adaptor with the collet, the collet will sometimes act as a shaft saver and during a crash will torgue out of alignment making it look like the shaft...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I thought I would share and update my lost plane situation.

As some might remember, I lost my plane in some woods 31 days ago and after many hours of searching over two weeks, I found it in a...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Thanks. The complete loss of my fairly new MPXT has been more dismaying then I would have thought. I did buy a new plane last week, but I had to go with something completely different and got a...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I was using the Hitec 65HBs and after talking with Castle Creations they thought four of those servos might task their Phoenix 35 three amp BEC, so I decided to use a 6V UBEC to maximize their...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I know some of done quite a bit of modifying to get the 480 mounting bolts to fit, but in case you didn't read through all the pages in the thread, I've done the following to get the 480 mounted on...

With input from my LHS, that was my conclusion also. Since I was willing to run a 6V UBEC with them, they said...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

In my opinion, I would try anyone of these as they each have characteristics like the MPXT with the only significant exception being the landing qualities of the Ultra Stick.
