Thanks, I havnt found the binding yet, but I found the problem with the motor, the orange tail wire had gotten into the pinion and striped some of the insulation off and it was grounding out...

A friend of mine just ordered one (on backorder) from tower hobbies. I had a ad with a preview price of $439.99 plus a $60 off a $300+ order which puts the price down to $379.99, not to shabby. ;)

I have my heli all back together again, however I have noticed some problems. When I idle up the motor and tilt the head in any direction, the head speed slows down noticeably. Also the tail motor...

If you are just starting out, would you rather buy a $450 rtf heli, or a $600-$800 heli with better electronics? They have to cut corners some how to make it attractive.

Thanks for the welcome, I got the heli in today. So far ive broke one of the blade holder, one of the plastic balls on the swashplate, and 2 servos. Not bad for a days work. ;)
