I ended up moving into carbon fiber and am loving the difference. I bought a 1M Deviant from Armsoar. It's a DLG and THAT'S been interesting to learn! Then I moved up to the big boy - F5J. Although...

This is ridiculous. They SWORE to me that they'd never had any complaint like this before. Now I'm sure they were lying. It's happened 5 times to that model now that we know of. That's just shameful.

That's nuts! They said emphatically that my issue was the ONLY time they'd heard of the motor leaving the fuse and that it was a one-off problem. Then it happened to the replacement model they sent....

So I rebuilt this plane. It's just too nice looking a wing to throw it out. I decided to go with an external motor to make install and maintenance easy. I chopped off some of the nose, laid up more...

I agree with you. There was no cross-weave that could have handled the torque from the motor. I'm thinking of installing a smaller motor on the nose and rebuilding. Making it how it should have been...

Great Planes Tori 2M EP Glider Sailplane Fail

I've been out of the hobby for a while but have been wanting to get back in for a couple years now. I've had my eye on a powered glider that looked great. The Great Planes Tori 2M Two Meter EP...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

That is about the coolest thing I've seen. Very smart and simple. Thanks for the killer idea. I've always kept a little compressed air for cleaning your desk (from Staples) and use it to...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

So I won't say that I'm correct or not, but I would like the definitive answer. In a Bobcat, when I angle the tail cone down to counteract the tendency to lift under throttle, regardless of Bernoulli...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

With all due respect, that us simply not correct. When you have a wing that is now directing which direction you travel, each increment you move forward, the turbine is lifting the rear of the jet....

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Why can't you just accept that this time you're wrong. Put your turbine on the front of your jet with the tailcone pointed down and you've got up thrust. Put that same turbine on the back in the same...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Sorry Noray. I got my names mixed up. I corrected the post above to reflect your name. Lots of purchases made in the past couple weeks for the Falcon. Trying to keep it all straight has been...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

I've got my canopy figured out finally. I purchased one of Noray's from the "other" site. It's incredibly strong. I had to brace the middle as it was tended to squeeze together too much. Now I...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

If you use pins or dowels in the front (I'm using two hooks of ply in the front and one canopy hatch in the rear) you should be fine. If you're still concerned with the gap you can heat up the...
