The bad thing about the second pickup is they create a lot of drag. In my opinion you would be better off with a dual pickup rudder. Been there done that. Fred

I am running a SIKK motor in a RIO with a 6717 prop and a dual pickup rudder. the motor is run with Amsoil 50-1 oil at 50-1 with 93 octane premium gas. The boat was run at least weekly all summer...

How are you measuring the speed? 45-47mph is screaming for a stock Fu-junk. Mine has a best 32.1mph checked with a gps and I have a CC Racing 257 carb.

I hate to say it but if the super tigre engine is like the ones they put into Duratrax trucks then Aquacraft made a GIANT step backwards. I had 4 of these engines and they were all junk.

What kind of batteries are you using? failsafe units don't like alkaline. Seeif the radiowil work without the failsafe in the circuit. Fred

I had starting problems with mine also replaced the carb with a CC race moded wt-257 it now starts in 2 pulls. Also the throttle response is much better and im pretty sure i pick up some HP it runs...

4 oz to a gallon is 32-1 that is plenty of oil. It is certainly enough to keep the engine from siezing. Are you sure it is not the flex shaft they don't grease them very well from the factory? If the...

Go to HPI's web site and download the instructions. That way you can get a head start on reading them. thats what I did I just ordered my 5b ss today. Cant wait.
