RE: Official Hobby Zone

Couldn't have said it any better. When learning to fly the Cub, the only accessory your need is a bottle of CA.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

You have a 1000 mAh motor. Go to this site and download the manual for your plane. It gives you all the info you will need to get back in the air again.

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Some motors have a description on them that is visible. If there isn't any visible numbers/letters than you might go on line to the maker of the plane and see if there is a parts list available...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

It could be something as simple as a bad connection on one of the three wires from the esc to the motor causing it to single phase. The crash could have broken one of the wires right at the motor. ...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

I'd bet a dollar to a Krispy Kream Doughnut that your battery has a bad cell.
My suggestion is to go ahead and replace it with a 1300 mha lipo battery. Course you will need a new charger to...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Probably not, but I've had good luck with CA'ing a longer arm onto servo arms when necessary. However, I don't know if the Cubs little servo's can handle a much longer servo arm.
Obviously your...

$90 bucks....I paid $125 for my used DX6i and thought I stole it.
BTW: The DX6i may not be considered as an elite or professional radio, but I use it for 6 different planes/gliders and it...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

I converted my cub over a year ago and did it for next to nothing.
Speed control, brushless motor (30 amp) for about 30 dollars, a pair of servo's (2 for $8.00) at RCHotDeals.com and lipo's that...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

A cub with ailerons is a great conversion. Converted my cub to lipo, brushless and ailerons a year ago and it made it an even more fantastic plane. Took a lot of abuse having to fly in cow pastures...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Lipos that are accidently left plugged into the plane and run waaaay down are normally a lost cause. The lipo charger won't charge a dead lipo battery. You can try to use a Nickle Hydride charge...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

First, make sure you have plenty of altitude to attempt flying inverted, give yourself plenty of time and space to recover.
Pull back on the stick to put the plane in a loop. When the plane is...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

There is no difference in the physical plane itself, ones blue and the other is red.
The real difference is in the fact that the lipo model is a much better flying RC. Much more power than the...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

DX6i is a really manageable transmitter. I use it for 5 different planes and each programed with their own custom settings. Dual rates is great for even something like a Slow Stick, low rate for...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Yes, there is more power and the only time that you really can appreciate that extra power is on takeoff in grass. As said, pull the jumper and a good 1300 lipo will fit and you'll thank everyone for...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

I kind of like the looks and price of the Super Miss - the Pulse XL seems on the big side for an electric - I bet the 6000MAH 4S3P battery is expensive. - Thanks for the feedback! - John
