Yes, White Decals are a 'problem'......think possibly a 'negative decal'

Meaning, paint a white patch as background, and have a black patch decal missing the serial #, then blend the black in...

You guys probably know this.....but copiers , for lots of reasons, often get one dimention good and one off by about 3%.

Bigger the plans....bigger the errors: a 5 foot wingspan grows by almost...

I think they're the dark grey parts at 9 & 3 o'clock on face, and the 2 screwed on ones at 5 & 7 o'clock.

not large parts, but probably big enough to block air from escaping

Two rifle (.303?) caliber guns [PEA-shooter], each side or the pilot......barrel shows on big pict as a light grey tube just below 3 & 9 o'clock inside of the cowl ring.

I s'pose you're correct, MODE ONE, but I had to re-read what you said re: wash-out 3 times before I agreed.....don't we usually build in wash-out by raising the trailing edge, as opposed to dropping...

so we're thinking that the stripes may have extended across the tailplanes as either stripes parallel to the wings, or chevrons?

I see two picts in those pubs that have rib tapes [strips?] on the elevator, but none with stripes painted on it. Which are we discussing?

You probably know this, but just to point out:

FAA and the likes have very specific regs on what you can put for a fan in a plane.

Ford A's have been OK'd, and a few others.
