The Qaurk has the same amounts of fets as the mamba. Just the firmware is different. There are mods needed to keep the quark cool or else the magic smoke will come out without a warning. Too much...

No you don't. You can disable the lipo cutoff if you like and use a external lipo cutoff. That way you don't have to worry about overdischaring your lipo's and carrying a laptop.

Novak offers both crappy and topend motors. Castle creations just offers OK motors, since they are not a motor manufacturer . Novak ESC are built for racing, crawling and some bashing, but mostly...
