MATT I finally realize what your going on about. you thought when i said (rated rpm)i ment max rpm . i was talking about the rpm the engine is rated for max hp.i see now how that could be misread.

A dyno can and will change load to determine hp output at any point in the rpm range.and if a brake were used the greatest hp would be at a lower rpm.but if you put a prop on a engine .as rpm...

come to think of it what you are talking about is unrated rpm the point beyond where the engine is rated .you talking about.terminat velocity of the engine.are they starting to rate engines beyond...

buddy i was using a very simple virsion to help people understand .what you are saying is true but confusing to understand for new comers if you get some one far enough they will figure the rest out...

what mvvs do you have 58?? i would like to know what it can do .spec say 24x8 6900 mezlik is this possible. if so i could fly 24lbs no problem.. my plane would be 22 lbs with this engine???

cool someone speaks my language.yeah my lawnmower spins a 30" with 3hp while cutting grass.and 120 fs has about the same hp so i should be able to put it on my mower.LMAO.

in a nut shell a 10 hp engine is only 10hp at it's max rated rpm you could prop for this rpm.but you would be so far out of the max torque range the engine would be ineffective.max torque is usally...

i will take a shot .. hp is work over time .meaning how mutch work can be done in a given amount of time. if you rev higher you do more work in less time.a engines horsepower can be rated a any rpm...
