Man, that is a crazy way to test a new plane IMHO. Get some altitude quick and then trim everything out where it is safe. Never heard of touch and goes that early in the program.

So how is that Irvine working out ?. Plenty of verticle ?. I have a couple of .53's not being used that would look real purty in my US. What size prop are you using.

My template fit the firewall real nice sizewise. Problem is when I drilled the top holes I found the very top of the bolts were in the seam between F1 and F1A. I think it will be ok, the blind nuts...

Great Planes Ultra Sport + "In Stock"

Just when I figure I have my mind made up as to which engine I want to use.

Great Planes Ultra Sport + "In Stock"

I have run the OS and Irvines upside down in the past and they do just fine.. Don't seem to care which way you put them. The cowl on this plane seems really narrow so I took what appeared to be the...

I am putting it in inverted... Originaly I was going to put a Saito .72 in it. I did not want to mount that inverted because of the valve covers. I decided to go with the Irvine on the US and...

David
Yesterday I mounted my engine which ended up being an Irvine .53. To get the 4 7/8 it required putting the engine with
the flanges at the end of the mount. Then I cut my cowling out which is...

I thought the kit was going together rather well/easy. I too have been on it for about a month but it is more a time thing with me then the kit. Only real puzzeler I have run into so far is the...

Do you have any threaded couplers ?.
What I do is when ready to install the steel rods I put a clevis on the threaded end and attach it to the horn on the rudder etc. On the other end I put a...

FYI, I have a WM T-34 covered in metalic blue. This is not the best choice of colors in a blue sky. I can't even wear my sunglasses when I fly it because of loss of contrast.

I would think so. I tried 13" wheels but they are a tight fit. The struts are not that strong on the GP gear and if they bend a little the wheels looked like they might no go up or down. So I used 2...
