CF definitely going to bling out the boat and save major weights. I've been thinking about doing this. If someone was goign to use CF parts, might as well go with the props too.

You can just use a brush and brush it over, do it about 2 thick layers and you're good. Spray guns are messy to clean up.

I believe the strakes are to keep the boat balance at idle, keeping it from swaying from the waves.

Straight strakes are better for speedboat that requires less manuvering. Thats about it. ;)

Im thinking of kavlar hull. It sure beat fiberglass hulls. Still working on the design or the shape and cover.
